Fortior Technology (stock code: 688279) is proud to introduce FTM8ForgeIDE and FTM32ForgeIDE — two industry-leading integrated development platforms designed for motor control driver chips. Built to address various chip design and development requirements, these platforms combine high-performance processing, feature-rich toolchains and a fully unified ecosystem into one powerful solution. By simplifying complex workflows and accelerating design cycles, FTM8ForgeIDE and FTM32ForgeIDE are pioneering the next era of motor control driver chip development.

FTM8ForgeIDE
FTM8ForgeIDE, developed over six years by Fortior, leverages proprietary intellectual property to deliver a specialized development environment for 8051-based systems and big-endian architectures. Integrated with Fortior’s FTAppWS, the platform facilitates real-time embedded debugging while simplifies 8-bit MCU development workflows. This strategic innovation effectively bridges the technology gap in 8-bit MCU projects. FTM8ForgeIDE interface is shown as below.

FTM32ForgeIDE
FTM32ForgeIDE offers RISC-V development environment for 32-bit MCU projects. By integrating with the open-source RISC-V architecture, it ensures royalty-free usage, streamlines hardware design via a compact instruction set, and supports scalable instruction set extensions for diverse applications ranging from MCUs to HPC systems. FTM32ForgeIDE interface is shown as below.

ForgeIDE Highlights
Exclusive Innovation
FTM8ForgeIDE stands as China's first dedicated IDE platform for big-endian 8051 MCUs. It is built on proprietary intellectual property to address domestic technology challenges, demonstrating Fortior's leadership in specialized technical domains.
Cross-platform Openness
FTM8ForgeIDE features a cross-platform compiler for seamless development across multiple OS environments. FTM32ForgeIDE uses the open-source RISC-V architecture to offer a cost-effective, customizable and royalty-free platform for next-generation solutions.
End-to-end Toolchain
FTM8ForgeIDE and FTM32ForgeIDE include a complete end-to-end toolchain that cover all stages of development — from chip model selection and code development to compilation, downloading and debugging — enabling streamlined workflows and maximized efficiency.
ForgeIDE Functional Modules
Solution Manager
FTM8ForgeIDE Solution Manager facilitates concurrent development of multiple application solutions. It supports chip model customization, third-party project migration to FTIDE and symbol analysis for both C and ASM code.
FTM32ForgeIDE Solution Manager accelerates project creation with pre-configured templates and guided build wizards. It includes tools for symbol search, function hierarchy analysis (Call Hierarchy), cross-reference navigation, jump-to-definition, project structure management and directory navigation.
FTM8ForgeIDE supports flexible window management to dock panels at custom positions and organize them via tab groups. The Solution Explorer, Class View, and Properties tools enable efficient project navigation, hierarchical organization and real-time configuration adjustments.
Code Editor & Compiler
Source code editors in FTM8ForgeIDE and FTM32ForgeIDE support code outlining, section folding, font scaling and automatic character encoding conversion. They also include auto-completion, context-aware code suggestions and real-time parameter hints to optimize development workflows.
FTM8ForgeIDE Compiler supports multiple primitive data types, C/ASM hybrid programming, absolute address allocation for variables/functions, a high-performance CLib interface and debugging of embedded C/ASM code.
FTM32ForgeIDE Compilation Toolchain adopts RISCV-GCC framework to support C/C++ development, RISC-V target architectures and cross-compilation for platform-specific code generation.
Document Generator
Document generators in FTM8ForgeIDE and FTM32ForgeIDE enable FAEs/AEs to create annotations and generate HTML/CHM documentation. This automates technical documentation workflows, improves code readability and facilitates efficient maintenance and team collaboration.
Debugger
FTM8ForgeIDE Debugger supports three download methods, two file formats, four hardware breakpoints, eight debugging operations for firmware simulation via download, and real-time tracking of register and memory data.
FTM32ForgeIDE Debugger is built on GDBServer toolchain, supporting multiple download methods, on-target debugging, breakpoint management, variable inspection, single-stepping and remote debugging for distributed workflows.
UI Customization
FTM8ForgeIDE and FTM32ForgeIDE support four UI themes, three font/icon size presets (S/M/L) and customizable command toolbars. You can configure keyboard shortcuts, adjust color schemes, and uses tcl scripting for workflow automation. Interface styling options, including visual style, UI font size, bool/bar icon size, etc. are shown as below.
Complete Ecosystem
ForgeIDE series unifies emulators, programmers, chips, SDKs, system configuration tools and security utilities into a comprehensive development ecosystem. This integration enables you to perform development, system configurations and security tasks without external dependencies.
