Three-phase sensorless BLDC controller

FU68 series (6801, 6802, 6803, 6804) incorporates ME core and 8051 core. 8051 core is used for parameter configuration and routine processing. ME core implements motor control in real time. Low-voltage application chip internally integrates MOSFET drive circuit. Most of 8051 core instruction cycle takes 1T or 2T clock cycle(s). The dual cores work in parallel to achieve high-performance motor control. The chip integrates high-speed operational amplifiers, comparators, high-speed ADC, multiplier/divider, CRC, SPI, I2C, UART, Timers, PWM modules and built-in high-voltage LDO, which are suitable for FOC or square-wave based BLDC/PMSM motors. Take FU6861 series as an example to introduce the features of Fortior's 3-phase sensorless BLDC controller solution.

FU6861 square wave features:

  • "Dual-core":  High-speed 8051 core and ME core for dedicated motor controller;

  • Wide voltage input: 5V~36V;

  • Built-in 6N Pre-driver;

  • Pre-driver output peak current: H:0.8A; L:0.8A;

  • 8-channel and 12-bit high-speed ADC;

  • 4operational amplifiers;

  • 4-channel comparator;

  • I2C/SPI/UART interface;

  • 16kB Flash ROM with CRC, self-program and code protection;

  • 256  bytes IRAM and 768 bytes XRAM;

  • 1T 16*16 bits multiplier, 16T 32/16 divider;

  • Two-wire FICE protocol based in-circuit emulation;

  • 16 interrupt sources with 4 configurable priority levels;

  • Built-in 24MHz ± 2% precision clock;

  • Applications: Power tools, gardening tools, drone ESC, consumer electronics;

  • FU6861Q(QFN56)
